He seems anxious to come out - though I think he'll come alone first, and send for us providing he's satisfied. He doesn't want to take us all so far away and then, finding he doesn't care about settling there, have to bring us back.... Both mother and I agree to this arrangement as to have him away a bit would be a rest for us - and the trip out alone we would probably find more entertaining, providing he decided to remain....

So your latest idea is to start farming, is it? Well, if so you think you would be happy, why not... Farming is a pleasant enough life for those who are attracted thereby... Would your parent really like it, do you think? It entails much hard grind if one is to make it pay one's livelihood... Only hope, dear Cousin, that you will realise your dream thereof - you'll require a wife to help you along though you're an awful time finding one.

How is Etta? I hope she'd be alright... By now, I suppose the trouble will be over one way or another. Do sincerely trust all is well with her....

Poor Ellis, he must have been in an agitated state of mind to appear so strange at the wedding. Fancy George being a married man now... Poor old Harry... you are left on the shelf fair and square.

We are holding high revel here in Manxland these days.... Douglas and Ramsey are packed to overflowing with visitors. 'Tis going to prove a record season.
