he will - & if he'll really sail from L'pool ... Its useless our trying to see him again. It would be difficult for us to get over to Lpool at a moments notice - and arangements for him the be allowed again at the last minute... No; I guess we & he have said our last farewell for a time.

Thank you so much for the Coins .... and what an impressive method of packing you thought out. They did look so nice when I undid the wrapping & removed one of the cardboard covering ... I'm real delighted with them.

I've had still another two acceptances of verse since your departure ... I seem to be having a run of luck this year, dont I?  Hope it'll continue.

I received the scrap-books alright. They're just a handy size & will come in very useful.

Mother & I went to Ramsey that Friday to see Charlie in "Shoulder Arms"!  He was really very good ... but the fun of the piece was drawn from far to (sic) tragic circumstances to be amusing to those who'd lost friends or relatives in the true battles. We enjoyed Charlie's nonsense though ... and it made a day outing for us.

It seems Uncle Richard, Jennies father, is to be married this summer sometime ... when she will be
