home to order in what ever part of England I choose. But, as I said before - I fancy I'm not one of the marrying sort... yet. Anyway, there's time enough yet to decide. You see - I don't happen to be in love with him... yet!

I got such a pleasant surprise last Friday morning. The post-man came along lugging a huge box - and lo ye and behold! it contained the most beautiful new hat sent to me by my Uncle who lives in Derbyshire. Its a lovely hat, really - and does so suit me. It's a velour, and a very becoming shade of grey. Isn't Uncle Willie a brick.

By the way, today is my Daddies birthday. He is 70 this morning... and looks about 56... He is a wonderful man, and no mistake...

We all keep fairly well. Just the usual bits of colds and what-nots, but nothing of consequence.

I cannot understand how it come about that you are so troubled with your head. Perhaps, as you say 'tis the result of the draughty shop... You'll have to be taking more care of yourself, laddie.. or maybe, that mother and Dad of yours will be losing your care and thoughtfulness just when they must need it.... Buck up, old man, buck up...

Mother and father join me in fond love to you, and all the others... Will write you again soon. Mother's writing this week, too. As ever,

Marieeeeeeee
