Sunday Night
My dear Harry,
Just a baby note to remind you & prove you are still the foremost in our memory. Thanks for your P.C.s & the thoughtful note of yours. We were so glad you had a good-time passage & slept en route, & were able to travel by the something-past in [indecipherable] train to Lunnon town!
The house seemed very quite and strange without you, laddie. We all missed you terribly - & for two or three times set for you at the table.
The very same day as you left us we had a surprise visit from four visitors staying at "Athol". Four gentlemen who used to stop at Athol when we were there. They motored out during the afternoon - - & caught us in the midst of turning-out the parson's bed-room!!!
I can quite understand you failing to recognise the countryside now it wears its early summer garb. Here things look more beautiful every hour almost... and the song of the bird grows cheerier.
