I suppose your summer is upon you now or nearly so. Here it is the most beautiful time o' year. I love the Autumn. The crackle of the crisp leaves beneath ones feet seems to fascinate me. And the shades of what still remain on the trees is a beauty to the eyes. 

Yes, by the time this reaches you twill be the time of Xmas. How differently you in Aussie will celebrate the occasion to what we here do.

"[indecipherable]" that is the principle attraction of the Xmas season, isn't it? and poor us will be shivering in our shoes with cold - and piling on more more logs to keep the home fires burning.
