open sea. There are many such bays as these along the coast, & several times this last summer we have rowed round to one or another of them, put in, lunched on the shore, & then rowed back again to our own beach in the evening usually fishing as we went along. Of cause we are not able to indulge in this sport now, as it is winter with us here. So far we have not had any snow on the Island, but it keeps very cold & we are having much rain.
We are keeping well here; Your Grandma has moved to another farm in Lonan, called "Coanrhennie" of it is not near so large as "Ballavasane", but quite big enough for two of them. Your Auntie Jennie & Uncle Harry are both married now, so there is only Auntie Hannah at home with Grandma. Auntie Jennie married a man who was only poor; & now after being married five years he found himself hopelessly out of employment; so my Father has taken a Farm about two miles from here, & put them in to manage it. Uncle Harry is also farming. The place which my Dad has taken is really in a lovely spot. If you ask your Father perhaps he will remember Laxey a little village lying in a valley at the
