Dear Everyone,
In acknowledgement of Uncles last letter Mother requests me to pen a line or so. She will write for herself very shortly, but this week she and father are spending from home.
Yes, Harry, Ellis and Dave have been to see us here. No doubt by now you will have received my last letter in which I tell you of this visit. They did indeed give an excellent account of themselves - none could be better - you have cause to be proud.
The horrors of this war are wearing us all out. Oh, that it would end! I had a letter from my Cousin John Lawton the other day. He is in India, and is having a very bad time, I gather.
I often hear from your boys, Harry especially. What a lot they think of their mother, Dad and brother George. I'm thinking it's out to your country we'll have to come - just to see you all.
