I'm sure it must be quite a month since I wrote you - and I promised to write once a month, didn't I?
I've had ever such a nice letter from you since last I wrote, anyway - some cards and oddments too - the letter was written to us all... but it was addressed to meums - and as mother and dad were on the mainland at the time it arrived, I considered it all myself...
Yes, mother has had a delightful holiday at Mrs Chapman's, the Auntie of mine with whom I stayed. She was away just four weeks, and from all accounts, had a rattling good time of it! The last week of mother's visit across father went over, and gave her a week of dodging about amongst one and another of his own friends.... and - I fancy she enjoyed the final week... the best of all. Mother & Father returned home last Thursday the 24th....
Father seemed a wee bit disappointed you had not been to see the land up to the time of writing your last letter, Harry... He thought you'd have been off by motor the very first day you could get from business
