So the rumour of going to France has again died out. Well, well, when the devil pipes one needs must dance. Not that I consider you a dancer to the nether prince any more than another! but we all do a bit of stepping to his tune at times, eh? Am devoutly glad your not, anyway, laddie.
Do you say Ellis is in Scotland? He'll be having a fine time in the realm of the "canny' ones. Give him my love when he returns. (Also remember me very kindly to Dave.)
And now, my dear, I must be "adieu". It will be a goodly thing to see you at Xmas, or sooner if possible.
