since we crossed home, and have scarcely yet had time to settle down. In fact, we brought an eight year old little girlie back with us for a holiday here, at up to the present she's given us no opportunity to do much settling!
Upon my return home I found a letter from you awaiting me, Harry. Many thanks. It is good of you to write when you hear from us so very rarely. We were glad to learn you all kept well - and more or less happy. It seems a pity business is so bad, but it is similar every where one goes nowadays... I don't think things will alter much in our time. It seems to be the closing up of some particular epoch... and only a new generation will build a new regime which. let us hope, may prove the commencement of a new and better and kindlier epoch.
So you have built yet another milestone along the way of life. How rapidly time passes. We were in L'landudno at the time of Sept 3rd and did not forget to speak of it as your birthday, Harry.
