no judge of that. Now! from that decriptions can you tell me how I would 'take' in your country, if ever I should be lucky enough to come.

Up to the present I am not engaged, nor have I any propsects of such a thing. But as to whether I am heart whole & fancy free or not, it is quite a different matter. You see a girl must wait until she is sought after, & very often the one she likes best never think of approaching her in that manner.

At present I am interesting myself in Sunday-school work & have become a teacher. I find the work very much to my tastes, being greatly attached to children & fond of my church. Mother & I are also working for a Bazaar in our old parish of Glen Mona on the ninteenth of this month, & up to now have done very well indeed for it. One of our local newspapers have taken up a scheme for giving away dressed dolls to the poor children of the town as Christmas gifts. Mother & I dressed four of the dolls, (which were sent undressed to all the ladies who will help & are returned dressed) & intend to help to wait on at the tea which is to be given to over five thousand little ones, after the dolls are presented. We are looking forward to the event almost as eagerly as the children, as I should think it will be a wonderful sight to see so many poor & hungry mites sitting down to a splendid meal, each hugging a pretty doll.

My dear cousin I fear all this will not interest you
