You'll please pass along our Xmas Greetings, and all the best of good wishes for 1923, won't you, Harry? Mother, Dad and the parson join me in sending 'em along to you all out there.

Ellis & family, George & family, Ida & family... Your dear father & mother, and your own dear self... We hope your Xmas will be cheerful and enjoyable and the "New Year" bring to you all, everything to assure your prosperity and peace of mind.

Well, I'll be thinking of closing now... Perhaps we'll be hearing from you ere so long... We always enjoy you the papers you send us: specially "Smiths Weekly".... (Mother wishes me to say, she will be writing you herself in a few days time).

Well, dear Cousin, "adieu" to you now. Enclosed, a little calander for luck to you in the coming year. Three black cats, but - not Manx one's!

"Adieu" - Goodnight - Good luck....

As ever, to you.
