My dear Cousin
Yours to hand this morning - P.C. badly chosen, very badly! Oh, you blighter!
Now I'm most awfully glad you're coming. And for pity's sake push through soon. Its only a fortnight since our last guest departed but I'm growing eager for the company of another already. I can hear you whisper, "how flighty!"
I'm not going to write to you again before knowing something definite. If you cant get "leave" you'll be letting us know, thereupon I'll write. If you do get "leave" you'll wire us from Liverpool as early in the morning as possible, please - whereupon I'll come down to Douglas to meet you. Of course, we'll be expecting to hear from you between time but I've made up my mind not to answer until I know what's going to be - certain. Trust you understand - and wont mind.
I'm in a desperate hurry for the post so please excuse this miserable scrawl.
Fondest care - and for heavens sake buck up!
Yours as everĀ
Marie X
