Dear Sir
I will [?} afford you pleasure to hear that we have safely reached the quest of our labour which you would [?] by the letters sent by the Queen Charlotte. the King George is now on the point of sailing, I embrace the opportunity this afforded of addressing a line or two to you. When on the eve of sailing from the Colony I left with Thomas a promissory note for [pound sign]  [amount] [?] payable 9 months after date. i am very sure that it has not been in my power to become any pork to send or i should have been happy to have fulfilled my promise. if i be able to send a little port with the Harriet, to pay her her wages, it will be as much as I shall be able to do, as I am under the necessity therefore of [pres ] on your good nature to beg you to allow me a little longer [?] for the money, which I shall be happy to return as soon as it is in
