In corse of the last year one of these dealing Agents a convict named John Hoar - who by his inniquitous conduct and being supported by his Imployers grew proud and impudent and his Imployers  for fear of their wicked devise being made manifest secreted him away -  in a vessell called the Parramatta which belonged to McArthur & Co  -  the Master of the Vessel took him away conterary to the Port orders, and carried him to the Island of Otaheiti, upon his arrival on the return of the same vessel the deception was deceted when John McArthur Esqr. and Mr Blaxcell who were bound in a certain [indecipherable] not to take away any person without the Govrs. permission, they was sued for the Breach of their bond but Mr. McArthur proving facts the Judge Advocate ordered McArthur by letter to appear before him to which he paid no attention at the close of December an open warrant was sent to the Chief Constable of Parramatta to apprehend Mr. McArthur and take him before a Bench of Magistrates that was to asemble the next day in Sydney but McArthur was using very haughty language and even writing a very imperious answer he refused to attend

information was given to one of the Missionaries who acted as a magistrate that saw John Hoar was in prison for life upon which the Magistrate sent an official letter ordering the Master of the vessel to secure him and return him to Port Jackson but contrary to such instructions he was
permitted to go on board the ship Wellesley bound for India -
