[MS 267]

London Nov 24th 1808

Dear Sir
I write to you by Underwood, but as
a vessel is now about to sail I shall give you another line - I have repeatedly requested you to get
some security for the Bills drawn by Mr Atkins
for Captain Scott - one shilling of which has not
been paid as yet, and I fear never will be
paid in England - I would have returned the bills
but was in hopes that Mr Wilson might have
it in his power to pay something of them before
I left England - you ought to secure yourself
as soon as possible - Mr Savage is gone to
India - His Cattle are with mine - I have
an Authority from him to sell them when I
return - Mr Savage stands indebted to me in
the sum of £300  Stirg or upwards which sum is to be paid out of the Sale of his
Cattle, and the remainder remitted to him
