My dear Brother
            Yours dated Calcutta 27th July came safe to hand and an opertunity offering I very happily embrace it not only to acknowledge yours but to express my thankfulness to God for His superabounding Mercy to one of my Dearest Friends.  I feel very much interested in your happy Restoration to the injoyment of the Care of God which passes knowledge.  May Our Dear Saviour keep you by His own strength through the rugged paths of time to Everlasting Salvation.  O the goodness of God to Fallen Man. Dear Bro let us often look to the hole of the Pitt from whence we was taken that we may admire the Sovereign Grace of God that makes us to differ from our fellow Sinners  Oh what a truth we love God because He first loved us and my dear Bro how has that love followed us since we first knew each other in the year 96.  I often look back both with
