Sir 
I take the Present opportunity according to [Indecipherable] to Inform you of my return to England though Contrary both to my Inclination & Desire when i left you But he who has [Indecipherable] it do and I would Desire to return[?]. 
On leaving Port Jackson the Captain was determined if possible to make Otaheite yet by a mistake in the Longitude we fell to Leeward of the Island Having sprung our Bowsprit In a Gale [Indecipherable] Port Jackson V Norfolk Island and no wood on Board fit to Repairing it obliged to [Indecipherable] to Bear away to the Friendly Islands after ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] Islands nine Day's. We stopped our Passage[?] for the ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] but a Change taking Place In the ​​​​​​​Captain's mind from the state of the Vessel having Lost our Boats and the ship ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] a riskey[?] position. The ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] Enemy's Coast for this Condition. Thinking it best to go round Cape Horn & make the Rest of the Way Home. Accordingly we stood to the Southward & done this about the Lat of 38​​​​​​​-40[?] & Long. 108 West on the 29 of November 1800. We made the Land of ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] & on the 8 of December the Falkland Islands we hoped [to stay] among these Islands about three weeks after this we  ​​​​​​​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] a Settlement for the ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] of 8 and on the 11 of May 1800 made the land not far from Plymouth.
[Indecipherable] from the last time we Left to England a ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] took place ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] the Captain ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] on leaving that place ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] quite Delirious & two[?] ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] out of 5 ​​​​​​​[Indecipherable] jumped overboard but the boat being sighted it was got safe on board again it continued for ? at the ? and also to ? the ship ? and what has become of him since I know not. 
this is a brief account of what happened from my ? made England but as Mr SHelly will expect from ? state of affairs ...as at the 6th  of september 1800 ...the first land seen to be as all above England of them near the ... c..had officers stood among them, but from then ... to .. .. their apart but the told me that lll ll Mr .. with most of the ship ...
