From Holyrood drove to the Queen's drive, Arthur's Seat & on to Dalkeith Palace. [indecipherable]. This is a magnificent place - The apartments in it remain as when occupied by the family, as well as the rooms assigned for the use of George 4th & the present Queen. The Queens bed is of brass [?] with a matress & pillows of white satin, with a canopy of rich blue silk - on the fender was a [indecipherable] bird - with a small homely brass
