My dear Sir,
I am much obliged by your kind and considerate letter _____x___ and I fear I have scarcely the certain opportunity of communicating our own and Mrs Treleaven's thanks for the kind remittance. After so many years of separation and the interval of another generation the recollection of the relationship may lately have faded away. but both Mr. Avery and myself are quite satisfied that the account Mrs. Treleaven gives of herself is perfectly correct and we shall administer your kind bounty to the best of our judgement and be the more inclined by your example to render her some occasional assistance in her time of need. I write in very great haste doubling lest you should already have left England, but hoping for Lady Parkers' sake & your own that in this fearful weather you may have had some wise delay.
Signed T. D. Acland
