at the residence of Mr. Buchanan of Glenlora - rained heavily - Mr. B. is a widower without family & his house is managed by a maiden Sister. Noble mansion - large rooms beautifully furnished - a fair staircase, with a rich window of stained glass the effect of wh. was very fine. A large party at dinner - the night most tempestuous.
19th. Agreeable party at breakfast - it still rained, but upon my expressing a great desire to see "the Glen" Mr. B. undertook to guide me thro" some part of his beautiful grounds.
