Dear Sir I write to you by Underwood, but as a vessel is now about to sail I shall give you another line - I have repeatedly requested you to get some security for the Bills drawn by Mr Atkins for Captain Scott - one shilling of which has not been paid as yet, and I fear never will be paid in England - I would have returned the bills but was in hopes that Mr Wilson might have it in his power to pay something of them before I left England - you ought to secure yourself as soon as possible - Mr Savage is gone to India - His Cattle are with mine - I have an Authority from him to sell them when I return - Mr Savage stands indebted to me in the sum of £300 Stirg or upwards which sum is to be paid out of the Sale of his Cattle, and the remainder remitted to him
