I wrote to you by the Sinclair - but did not send any thing in her. By the Speke I have sent some Foal Leather for my men directed to you - you will supply them as they may want till you receive mine - Two Ships are now fitting out to bring Prisoners - one will bring 200 men, the other 80 women - In the Speke there are two women we [?received] Ince and the other [?Corridge] - whom an Acquaintance of mine is very anxious about. Should it be in your Power to render them any Service should they deserve attention. I will thank you to do it. I mean by recommending them into any Service. Mrs Hassall expect to hear from Mrs Marsden by the Star, which probably will be the first Ship at Port Jackson - the Speke is expected to sail in a day or two - I have waited till the last moment in hopes of hearing from you-. Tell [?Horven] I shall write to him by the Star - I have my doubt but he will go on well - you will receive letters from your friends which I forwarded to Portsmouth about 3 days ago - Oakes's father is dead, but he likewise will hear from his Friends -

Mr [?] has wrote a very improper letter to the Bishop of Derry. He certainly has been very imprudent in doing this. I have wrote to him on the Subject. What he has said cannot affect me with those in Authority because they have possitive proof in their own possession that his insinuation is false. The Secretary of State was very kind in putting Mr. Mullin's letter into my hand, which he had written to the Bishop of Derry - [?some] months before I received this letter I had used my interest to serve Mr [?Guther] and had succeeded very well. I wish it may not injure himself. I have no wish to injure him; tho I think it very ungrateful in him to write what he has done in which is insinuates that I told him an untruth when I said that I had not received half of of Mr Johnson's salary since he left the Colony - Government knows I did not receive it, and that is quiet sufficient for my Justification.
