Dear Bretheren [Brethren] I have the Pleasure to acknowledge the receipt of your kind & unexpected letter dated Mission House Serampore 4th Novr 1806 - and happy should I be if I could grattify you but half as much in any information that I could send from this Quarter of the Globe as your Inteligence from your station respecting the work of God among the Mussolmen and Hindoos has truly afforded [me, nay, I have even made free with your letter and let all my Dear Friends [?] read it (in this Colony) and have also read the same in the congregation where we have both weeped and rejoiced together - We have truly weept on account of our leanness and nonsuccess - (for alas who has believed our report and to Whome has the arm of the Lord been - reveiled among us) We have also Rejoiced seeing that the arm of the Lord is not shortened but actually saved Some of the most deplorable of man kind - and made them heirs of the peace of Eternal Life & Co heirs with our Dear Lord Jesus, Dr Bretheren your reward is with you, your - work is before you, you have a Plane Path for your feet, therefore make hasty Strides to destroy the Kindom of Satan, superstition, a

Dear Sir/ I have requested Mr [Morell?] to Deliver into your hands a Set of Bills to the amount of 115£ which I expect he will receive from Mr Mc Arthur Esq - and shall esteem it a favour if you will be so kind as to take care of them for me. I have been much disapointed in not receiving the thing which Mr Henry wrote to you for on my account The Pork which we sent down I understand you have sold fo 33£ the third of whch is 11£ but as I wrote to you to advance one pound to Cap Simsons Ac- moreover you can have but about 10£ of mine in your possession, which I wish you to keep til you shall hear further from me. I hope you will favour me with a line the first opportunity. I return you
