General (to Cavalry Officer) "Tell me, what is the use of Calvary in War?"
Cavalry Officer; "Well General, I suppose its to give tone to what would otherwise be a mere vulgar brawl".

Did I tell you of the "Breath of the Breeze". It is the first annual festival of Egypt & celebrates the breeze that comes off the desert, warm & joyous, to celebrate the advent of Spring. But this year "The Breath of the Breeze" was laden with dust & sand & was a fair shocker. We could not see the tents 50 yards away. . It was sand, sand everywhere. But the Gyppies carried out their annual jubilations never the less notwithstanding. One result of this dust storm has been a general increase in sickness in Camp & in Maadi village. Nothing serious - just influenza, colds, dusty throats etc. It is expected that the dust laden air brought
