We just issued Number II. I think the third and last number will be out in about a week. It is hard work for I have to churn out nearly every line. I cannot let any copies off the ship till we reach our destination but I will send a copy home for a memento.
Our band plays outside the officers mess every evening and now and then it plays "Frog Puddles" or Policemans Holiday" or other well known two steps and I just wish I was back for a night at the Salon de Loose.. I never quite appreciated my privileges until they were taken away. Fancy not seeing a girl for over a month. I'll forget how to say 'good day' soon. "Member that Gippsland girl thing'!
"He turned once more to the South athirst for the touch of a lily hand and the kiss of a rosebud mouth"
Thats me.
The steward is about to set the table so he has given me notice to quit. So here's good bye and good luck and kisses all round from your obedient servant, slave, brother & worshipper
