at Ma'adi & it is decorated with all sorts of curios, arms, weapons and animals.   The chief items in his hall are stag heads and stuffed bears that he shot in Asia Minor. To the other night I had dinner with Mr & Mrs Crawford. She is very Scotch & very nice. Sings Annie Laurie & Mary of Argyle and has promised to sing "Hunting Tower" with me (Stop laughing Jean). Also she has two of the sweetest little children you ever saw. I'm lavishing on Ian & Ailsa the affection I ought to be transmitting across the oceans to Olfer & Betty Jean. (never mind Did). On another night I dined with Mr & Mrs McDonald Hunt who are real nice hospitable folk. We have sing songs there every Friday. I have recited about 50 odd   pieces during the last 6 weeks & am running short. Wish I had brought along Ogilvie, Spencer, Paterson & Co. Also I have sung a few times & (very well Jane if you must persist in laughing to scorn my vocal efforts I wont bring you home that gorgeously beautiful pyjamas - I mean kimono   I intended, so there). Tother other other other other night Col Ryrie, Col Cox, & I had dinner with Mrs McLean. She   is a nice old Scots body whose son is an engineer who has done a lot of work for Kitchener. Also she has a daughter....I told you I dined with the [Muster?] of St Andrews didnt I?   Right. Col Arnott, Col Onsloe Thompson and I had dinner
