most noticeable of all are the Camels millions of 'em. As a  rule they are not so hefty looking  as the one on Francies  post card,  nor so sleek as the one on Mabel's.  They are more like the camels on  Viva's card. Mostly they seem  poor miserable skinny wretches though  here & there a wealthy Arab would  boast a fine riding camel. When the  caravans come to town from the  interior it is a curious sight. There are long strings of them, each beast  being tethered by a string through the  nose to the tail of the preceeding camel. The caravan on Kathie's card is too  sedate. It is a set picture not the  real arrival which is all excitement.   As for the Arabs themselves they are  mostly skinny & undersized. I was not  in the mosque so Pater  your card  may or may not be true. You  just pays your money & takes your  choice. Neither did I see the  dancing girls so Elsie's post card may  be the real thing or it may not. In the heart of the Arab city all the  pretty Arab girls covered up all their  faces except the eyes, while the old  hags unblushingly went without any
