It certainly looks as if the Turk is going to be pushed clean off the map of Europe at last. Operations on a great scale are in progress & there is to be a great bit more thereabouts soon. The papers have published the fact that large numbers of French and other troops have landed at Alexandria & there are repeated rumours that the Australian Division is going there. We know nothing definite & you will see in the papers all about it long before my letters can reach home.
Dont fink there is anyfink more in the way of news.
I hope you are all well & happy. The dancing season should be coming. Sorry I wont be there. With all due love to the Cairo tourist and locals they cant dance as well as the Australian girls. (Thats a bit of taffy for Mabel & Viva & Mollie) and at all the shows Ive attended I have not heard one girl that can recite like our girls. (theres some soft soap for Francie & Anne & Viv).
The Maadi girls are nice, but reserved. They lack the joyous joie de vive of our girls (This is with a view to placating Tien & Jean & Ida & Nora & Linda & Leoda & Chic) As I have not kissed a single girl since I left home I cant make virtuous comparisons or contrasts here: but I'm sure that there is not a girl in Egypt that can kiss like CENSORED.
Love to all
Ol.
