Our main recreation on board is boxing. I have a black eye a bump on my head and other beauty spots too numerous. When my opponents come out of the hospital I will have my revenge. Single sticks is good fun also but when they hit hard it leaves a mark. I have such a nice green blue black yellow rainbow on my shoulder. My vis a vis has a cauliflour ear & his funny bone is no more humerous.
We had a great concert on board & I had the honour to preside. Some of the items were fair, but I wish I had had Francie there to liven them up. (Are you listening honey?). I have had not a single dance since I came on board. To begin with it is rather hot & to end with there is not a single solitary girl in the ship. What a time you'd have girls. (Are you there Mabel?) Well I wish you were here to show them how to walse & two step.
We published a newspaper on board last week. It was called The Trumpeter. I was the proud & happy Editor father, reader, writer, 'comp' & nearly everything else. I will get another issue out when we arrive at C-. Oh I nearly wrote it again. Oh I say Lodija did you & Jean get that little thing I sent along from Kitchener's? If not just run in & ask him the reason why. I hope by this time you have all received my photo. I really think I look
