Dear Mother
This is only a rush note to say au revoir for we leave tomorrow for the front.   I'm fit as a fiddle & am sure I'll win through alright & come back safe to Sunny New South Wales.   We are in for a most interesting & exciting time.   The Australians have done wonderfully well so far.
