4rather crawl round London. Visited some very interesting places, Bank of England, Mansion House with its statues, library, paintings etc, St Pauls. Pater will be pleased to hear that I paid a visit to Temple Church - best choir in London they say - Bishop of London was there; but I was more interested in a little tomb just outside the church on which are inscribed four words "Here lies Oliver Goldsmith". Inside the church are the tombs & effigies of several of the great Crusaders. Am going to House of Palt next week... London is so huge that I need a dozen maps to find my way about. I like mooching along The Strand, & Bond St, & Piccadilly & Leicester Square & Pall Mall etc. Went to the Automobile Club - a magnificent place with a fine Roman Bath & all sorts of luxuries.
