Wilkie Bard is very funny while Elliott is quite the weakest & best of the thousand Coon Song Singers I ever heard. Ellaline Terriss was next in a sketch & the Diving Belles dived divinely. The West End Cinema served to while away an hour one afternoon.
Harold Price & I went to the Shaftsbury to see the grand opera Carmen & while it was good but not up to the Australian standard by a long chalk. It is in English which of course is a great advantage. Peg o' My Heart is here. I've not seen it yet.
