Gallipoli 29. August 15

My dear Father,Mother, Anne Jean, Tien  & everybody etc.
Ive not  written to you lately in globo because Ive been rather busy churning out answers to my last mail & it kept me working overtime. But now I'm a free agent. I dont think I owe  a single letter to a single soul.   I think Ive answered all the letters I have received since I landed on Gallipoli. That is quite a bit of work specially bearing in mind  the envelope famine of last month. We had to improvise all sorts of things to fit our letters in. Some clever folk made envelopes, some used old ones.  Some used cardboard for postcards. I managed to get thro  pretty well on the whole.
