had met the [indecipherable] in London & that they were both so strikingly handsome, one very fair the other dark, that every eye has [indecipherable] after them as they moved about - Public attention is now directed towards their names in a very different shape. I weary of the endless questions that are asked me about the family, & of course say as little as possible about them. I find now that people have always been a little shy of them, seen in the country & how Mr N. C. has a large Estate, & of course every one is anxious to have his or her suspicion confirmed. I am [indecipherable] to find that I have just missed the mail I intended to [indecipherable] this letter 3[indecipherable] but there will be plenty of opportunities before long - there are many mislaid that I get puzzled with
