The present Duke has apparently no [indecipherable] that way & the grounds as well as the houses show evidence of a want of care. Lyon House itself is a noble old building. The [indecipherable] Statues & [indecipherable] decorations were well worth seeing, but there were so many guests that it was impossible to get more than a hasty view & [indecipherable] on to the gardens.
