The accompanying [indecipherable] I can say but little, as altho' not particularly [indecipherable] it really does not do you justice.  I rejoice to find that the financial prospects of the Colony are improving - as the [indecipherable] of bad seasons must indeed have had a serious misfortune to you, and the state of things which you mention as existing on good returns are most disheartening.  Let us hope that the tide has turned, & that your next letters may carry a better report.  Thanks for your [indecipherable] notice of Capt. [indecipherable] I learn from his family that as his visit was such a hurried one, that it was doubtful whether he would be able to [indecipherable] - We are going to a "Tea & Croquet" meeting at Mrs. [indecipherable] tomorrow - The
