The Coliseum - Baths of Cacacellar - Mamertine prison - Vatican - Forum & St. Peters, & the churches of St. Agnese - St. Maria Maggiore - The Lateranx St. Paolo X The Scala Santa , & St.  [indecipherable], where we were present at a Mass & Requiem in memory of Cardinal Wiseman.  The singing of the mass at the [indecipherable] dei Monti, at Vespers, had an indescribably [indecipherable] effect upon me & I will long remember the exquisite harmony of their voices combined as it was with the rich tones of the [indecipherable].  You will no doubt have been struck, also, also, as we were with the marvellous & beautiful echo at the Baptistery at Pisa.  The melody surpassed any thing of the kind which I had before heard.  All these objects however, and many more, you must be perfectly familiar wit.
