The State room & dressing room adjoining are quite ready & serviced & so is the room for the [indecipherable] the [indecipherable] must occupy his former room at the Inn.  There are two [indecipherable] in the house, if my servants but they are quiet & don't make much noise.

I am glad to hear you have been so highly pleased with your trip - I heard from yr br. Edward who said I may expect you abt. this time - [indecipherable] you & your servants take care of your eyes when on the train for the ashes from the chimney are intolerable wear a thin veil or goggles - The scenery is beautiful up the Tyne - Kindest regards to Mrs. M. ever your affectionate
