My Dear James,

Your brothers gave me very great pleasure a few days ago by allowing me to read your letter from the Cape which assured me of your safety so far & perhaps the worst half of the Voyage in as much as we fell in with a pirate near the line but our size protected us to say nothing of Eight Quakers [?] on each side. By this [indecipherable] you will have safely landed on your native shores from which I suppose you will not be inclined to move again in a hurry. I hope William will think it worth while to come & see England but to remain in it is not to be expected or
