Tho I shall always feel the Loss & lament it, of your family amongst whom I spent so many happy & pleasant hours, indeed the only out of my own easy chair, you cannot  wonder at my wishing to be at home -
I arrived here on the 28th after a most delightful train from the Southern [indecipherable] of the Kingdom to the North by Bath, Gloucester Worcester, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Lancaster - [indecipherable] to Penrith & on by the coach to my own door; a part of Eng. I had never before seen & with which I was highly delighted having the most beautiful weather - The hearty & honest welcome my plain but good flock greeted me with was worth years of troubles and anxiety; but I shall not
