My Dear Sir,
I have he thereto abstained from answering your letter of the 18.th March under the impression that I should shortly visit Sydney and have an opportunity of conversing with you on the subject to which it relates.; but as I have been persuaded from so doing, and I do not anticipate that I shall be at leisure to leave here for several weeks to come I must no longer defer writing.
I rejoice that you have succeeded in recovering so large a number of the sheep & that you consider them to be in good condition. In effecting their object of gain have been under the necessity of making some sacrifices of various importance, [Indecipherable] regretted [indecipherable] I am of the opinion that Mr. Scotts interests
