Clifton 17 March 1832

My dear Sir,

I shall be obliged to your opinion upon the following matter  When Mr. Scott left the Colony he leased his allotments in Parramatta to Mr. Orr for five years for £30 per annum, with the conditions that Mr. Orr should also pay the Quit Rents during this period and keep the premises in repairs at least  I find a copy of a letter written by Mr. Scott to Mr. Orr making such a proposal, & though this is no written consent on the part of the latter, still he continued in possession & is willing to comply with the terms up to 31 Dc. last.
Previous to this time he had repeatedly urged me to repair the buildings, because they were uninhabitable, & a few days
