the first time & had a full attendance of English & many Dutch who understood English - It is very hot but  I enjoyed health & quiet there.

Our ship being unseaworthy I have taken my passage in the Royal George from Bombay & embark in a few hours - I shall write from England to some of you - I hope to pst them in Jan.y I feared losing mince pyes  xmas day; but here I bought  a pot of apple Marmalade enough to make some - I hope James  has arrived safe -  I have not heard any thing of the Colony since Janu May last, when I saw a Gazette wherein Dan C- disowns both P - L [Peel] & Levy. It was all up with P.  when I left Swan River, but otherwise going on well requiring only provisions-
