Thursday 29 December 1921

It rains very much but P.P. & I sit on Balcony. We have a bright interesting chat & she is very kind to me. She goes in to see Mrs Riddell & she makes P.P. blush

I am still very unsettled.  My thoughts are with the Best woman in the world who is ever so much too good for me. I am excited to meet her again that I might tell her how much I honour & respect her. I chase after a top for a curtain. I go to town with Joe re days from messina. I miss 7.20 boat over some school kid

Friday 30 December 1921

Rain terrific. We do very little. I write most of the day. I ring L8529 after Tea & hear Dot which puzzles me for a while. I then talk to Ma.

Wrote Ken, Pine, Dorrie, W, Ciss, E. Auntie Annie.

Saturday 31 December 1921

I go straight Home. I mess about in the rain while Dad & Mum fix Dolly's fence. I ring P.P. & she says to come over. I feel very off colour. I just miss a motor to town. I have a nice trip on the boat. Sea very rough. I talk to some Melbourne people. man.woman & Son. He is an old Sailor-officer. Capsizes in Obelisk Bay. Captain Cook rescues them after 3 Naval boats fail. I arrive at N.S. K goes out & P.P. to bed. We read & yarn until 1020. I go before Crowd returns. I go around Band looking for Dad & Mum meet Marjorie & party.  P.P. looks pretty & says things about people qui sommes [indecipherable]   I take farewell in a Friendly way & find myself repulsive.
