Thursday 22 September 1921

I go to Bondi to sleep again.  I walk a cove to a standstill & suffer in the hind quarters. I tell P.P. the best place to put Iodine

I get skirt from Home per Ruby O'Connell & after arranging to go to Lister Hosp And P.A. Hosp. I go to the Kat instead. Poor P.P. with broken nose & other abrasions. I nurse her & read the Sentimental Bloke. I give her supper after nearly soothing her to sleep. I am very cheeky I make a favourite of Mrs Riddell & an ardent advocate. My D.P.P. tells me earnestly that [indecipherable].

Friday 23 September 1921

I ring my D.P.P. I get mums shoes after trying warehouse in vain. I meet Dick & Olive & both are strange. I go to visit Etta and see Marjorie Fletcher. I race out to Prince Alfred & am not allowed in. I ring P.P. she says I may come over rather reluctantly. I get home for tea at 9 pm. Very tired & very fatigued I get disappointed with Suits.

Saturday 24 September 1921

I go to N.S. I am disappointed over cost. I stay for a couple of hours & then go down to Athol. I meet a Tassy Doc & his wife Our tram blows out a motor and we get a tow home. We are too late for Pictures & sit & chat. I am an awful fidget & nuisance. Mrs Riddell gives me a few hints that I already knew but have not used on the particular area. P.P. says I have not been a bit happy when I'm leaving. She knows why & so do I & it's my fault.

Sunday 25 September 1921

I go to Manly for swim after doing some weeding & transplanting Crysanthemums. I go to P.A. Hosp. Ma well & on verandah.  I go to H'ville. We play billiards but I am very bad & worry very much.  Dot asks me out.  Irene is with the party. I play piano but I am a little bit out of sorts over a nose.
