Monday 17 October 1921

I dormi on Couch in Din.Room last night.  I enjoy myself best ever since the War last night.  I buy shoes on 18/10/21.

I get up early. Tea in couche for mum & P.P.  We get the 8.45 boat. We see Kit racing for tram on other side. We part ever such good chums. I was afraid last night that it was good bye for ever but my cher camarade is so lovely and good that she forgives and forgets. I go to Harpers. Mona and I amuse ourselves at the piano while others play Billiards I go to bed in Dick's old room and sleep delightfully.

Tuesday 18 October 1921

I go to work with W H. go to Mr Hasting  breaks the news I ring Wal who comes down. I deliver Books to warrior stores. I meet Ethel B and ring her up. I ring Bessie. Both invite me to a Dance on 5 Nov. I meet Cyl. Guilfoyle. I decide to commemorate P.P. kindness to a lonely soul. I buy books also for the same event. I go home with Bert Hickson. Mum goes to Lodge and we go to bed at 8.20. I ring Doc Minnett and P.P. she is wrathful at my lavishness.

Wednesday 19 October 1921

I deliver typewriter to Warrior Stores. I meet Cyl. again. I meet Pat. Taylor and Wal. Fisher on Monday. I pack up S and Wade's goods. I cut mum's coat and D.P.P's. I get on tram at Market St. Dick and Kit and others are in car & make P.P. blush prettily. We try & fail to miss Ellis. We dine at Sargents & finally make up our minds to go to N.S. Park. We sit & talk & are very contented though cold. We eventually go for a long walk, a very happy walk around the streets. more confidences on both sides and I am thrilled to hear that. I am liked ever so much more than I dream of. I say Good Bye in fine style quite unconsciously unconsiously & naturally.
