I go amongst all Sinn Feiners & they remark that I don't like Tikes. I sleep at B'wood but get colly wobbles early & have to find my way out.

Thursday 1 December 1921

Hatless & unshaven I go to B'wood with Son Mayor. I get the mountain train through to G'ville & P'matta. I duck home for cup o'tea. Hugh Miller calls again. I go home & arrive at 8.30 we chatter & I go off to bed at 9.30.

Friday 2 December 1921

I just catch train. George comes up & comes home for dinner. He rings me re Otto. I ring Kit at 6.50 with no trouble. We have very quiet day until after tea.

Saturday 3 December 1921

I ring P.P. & arrive ¼ hr late for work.  I catch 1.25 train & 2.30 boat. A thunderstorm comes up. I do some staking to Dahlias & other gardening. Dad digs up some more af my choice plants. Mum goes to Carnival. Dad & I play cards (crib) after I ring up my P.P.  We miss by 15 after 2 each up at 5.45. Leave home meet D.Lord,  Burn Hooper, Bowden 6.45. Catch train nicely but have to race for boat.

Sunday 4 December 1921

PP & K turn up after & restless night at 8.55. We have to go to Cronulla. We have a good run through. A swim before dinner & then rain from 2 pm until about 4 pm. Another swim & then a walk for nothing & into cafe for tea. Home at 8.22
