Monday 18 July 1921
We finish wharf in morning and potter around all afternoon. We play solo at night and I lose all but 28. I dream that I build a wharf in Parkie's yard for O to land on.
Tuesday 19 July 1921
Mona, Ma and I row to river. Ma goes to town and we row to Nick's and walk home. I clean fish until my back nearly breaks. I get off at 2.30 Mrs Spencer asks Mrs Newman to give me a lift. I have H-cut in wyong and catch train nicely. Get a boat and miss Pat. I meet the two D's. I go to E. & to Flat with Fish my arm nearly breaks. I have supper at flat.
Wednesday 20 July 1921
Mum gets fed up washing and packs up to come to town with me. I ring Dick, Dave, .O. & Trinder We meet Dick and O. I go to miss Camerons and cut out. We meet George. We go to Pictures. I get very moody seeing The Stolen Dinner Kiss. I wait at 6 but go over and arrive at same time. We cook the tea and nearly spoil it. Marie turns up. We take D & K's place but behave better or worse. I take something to remember and feel very mean about it
