Thursday 24 November 1921
I ring home after work & talk with Mum. She is very down in the dumps. I go home & change, play piano & rest until tea. I go in to see Edna & Miss Cook for half an hour & go to bed at 8.30 pm very tired. I just miss Miss Cook
Friday 25 November 1921
I go shopping for P.P. before work. We work right through although electioneering makes bus. very quiet. Home & straight to bed. Ring P.P. at Railway without difficulty in 30 seconds. Marvellous
Saturday 26 November 1921
I ring K.529. I miss 1.20 & lose 4' at S'fields miss 2 pm boat. I see a girl's french breeches as P.P. calls 'em. Home through a severe thunderstorm. Place corner King & Macquarie struck by lightning. I go to ring P.P. & get told off properly & made to feel a miserable selfish brute. I lie down in shame for a couple of hours & then go to Manly.
Sunday 27 November 1921
Go walk with Geo & Lil & then sit behind Mum's stall with Dad until 9.10 tram I garden spend 40 minutes ringing P.P. We all go to town by1.15 boat. I wait until 2.50. 4 of us go to N.S. for a most enjoyable swim. Kit refuses to bring P.P. Clothes. We go home & see Mrs Bell & Rob at Chow's gate. We have tea & rest & chat until Dad & Mum come home. I retreat 2 marked steps down Ladder
